Investigation of the Effect of Waste Materials on the Properties of the Composite Polymer Prosthetics Limbs

Nowadays, the trend to benefit from environmentally friendly waste and recycle it instead of incineration processes that can cause pollution in environment have a clean green is free work for long time without consumption damage. This study designed manufacture prosthetics limbs PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) reinforced with different weight percentages paper layers (0%, 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%) by “hand lay” method. The tensile, flexural, impact, compression, hardness these composites are tested before after adding determine mechanical properties behavior. average values all samples collected analyzed one-way analysis variance (ANOVA) interpret results. When discussing results tests, found addition (12%-waste layers) (PMMA) increased (tensile, hardness) 142.1%, 532.3%, 146%, 99.2%, 6.37%; respectively, compared mean other samples. It clear this there an improvement strengthening layers.
